So why Trump was elected? I cannot seem to figure this ...

There are many reasons he was elected. Primarily, Democrats are terrible at messaging and too entrenched in the status quo. MAGA Republicans are incredible at spreading lies and propaganda that appeal to the worst inclinations of Americans.

Global inflation caused by supply chain disruptions, which were impacted by supply chains made fragile from unregulated capitalism, Covid and the Russo-Ukrainian war caused a bloodbath among incumbents worldwide. The Biden economy was the least affected by this inflation, primarily due to the many consequential achievements of the administration, but this was poorly messaged. Meanwhile, the right hammered their base with lies so numerous as to be impossible to refute en masse. Even with the disruptions of the candidate change, Harris was defeated by a smaller margin than incumbents suffered globally.

American voters are largely poorly informed, and this is reflected in their voting. They choose not to believe legal facts or their own eyes. Legal facts like that Trump is an adjudicated rapits, a convicted felon, and an insurrectionist.

Same answer. Low information voters who's lives have been crushed by unchecked oligarchy, which has been supported by both parties, will continue to vote against the status quo and whatever one says about rapist felons like Trump who violate 9-0 supreme court edicts, he'll never seem to those low information voters like the establishment.

There needs to be a wholesale rejection of the establishment by the opposition party and they need to stop trying to win the "look how decorus and civil rule followed we can be" and stop trying to seem like Republican lite(tm) and finally embrace a truly centrist platform. "Centrist" by definition means supporting legislation that benefits the majority of the people. Medicare for all is centrist. Consumer protections are centrist, a thriving minimum wage and robust social programs are centrist.

We've allowed the right to drag the Overton window so far into full fascism, that policies which actually help Americans while growing the economy are mislabeled as "Marxist" by people who literally don't know the definition of the word and the MSM and Democrats just nod along, challenging none of it.

But Kamala "Coconut" Harris receiving $10 million from LinkedIn co-founder Reid Hoffman to fire FTC Chair Lina Khan has no credibility.

People saw through her word salads.

I hope Democrats have credible candidates next time ...

Not even close to equivalent to Elon giving $277m to the rapist felon to hand him the federal government.

Also, donating with hope to influence is a major problem but you can't seriously tell me there's any credible evidence that Kamala (whatever epithet you want to add) was going to kill me by allowing a techbro to illegally defund my cancer research or that she was worse than a literal rapist, felon, insurrectionist.

The dems have no great candidates but that's not equivalent to a rapist fascist who's actively killing my kids' dad.
